Registered in this office the 17th day of February 1832 a certain negro man Slave by the name of Jacob about twenty four years old very Black and Large Brott from the state of Tennessee to this County by John McLaughlin.

Nave Clerk of the County Court of Perry County in the state aforesaid and John McLaughlin who being first by me duly sworn deposeth and saeth that the above described negro slave at the time of his introduction into the state was bonified property and that he Brote him for his own use and not for the purpose of sale here or traffic and that he will not sell him or mortgage him to any Citizen of this state or to any one within the limits of this state for the space of three years from this date.

Martan of said County a certain negro woman Slave about 18 years of age yellow campuction named Caroline and her girl Child two years old named Mariah in August next slave the same campuction of the mother said slaves was not from the sate of Georgia by the said Martan.

I do hereby certify that Henry a Negro man about 25 years old 5 feet 10 inches high, well toned and dark complected, without any visible scar or mark and Moses about 14 years old, 4 feet 7 1/2 inches high, well proportioned & black complected, without any visible scar or mark. The above named Negroes I obtained as a legacy from my Father's & Mother's estate in Meclenburg County. Va.

Also Edmund 16 years old, 5 feet 2 inches high, well proportioned, high forehead & dark complected. And Lewis, 13 years old, 4 feet 6 1/4 inches high, likely and well proportioned, yellow complected & hair inclined to be strait.

The above described Negroes I had brought in this State for my own use, not will sell, or hire them with the time prescribed by the law regulating the introduction of Negroes into the State passed the last session of the legislature of this State, 16th Jany 1832.

Thomas Hightower files and makes oath to the following statement that within ten days past he brought into this County one negro boy about seven years old named Simon - large to his age & of a dark complexion - he further makes oath that at the time of his introduction into this state he was bona fide his property, that he brought him for his own use, and not for the purpose of sale, hire or trafic & that he will not sell him or mortgage him to any citizen of this State, or to any one within the limits of this State for the Space of three years from the date of this oath.
